WE BELIEVE THE MOST IMPORTANT COMPONENT IN A YOUNG PLAYER’S SUCCESS IS ACCESS TO A FUN, POSITIVE, AND PROGRESSIVE SOCCER ENVIRONMENT.
Corte Madera FC is a community club, founded in 2014 by parents in partnership with the Town of Corte Madera Parks & Recreation Department. The club provides local youth the opportunity to play competitive soccer alongside friends and develop their game within a dedicated and inclusive soccer community. All competitive practices and home games take place at the centrally located Corte Madera Town Park.
A cornerstone of the club’s foundation is providing players the flexibility to continue to participate in multiple sports, encouraging overall athleticism and helping to avoid the risks of early specialization, such as burnout and overuse injuries. Our players prioritize soccer during the fall, then enjoy other winter and spring sports while continuing to participate in the club’s off-season soccer clinics and competitions.
Our goal is to help players develop a lifelong love of soccer and provide an opportunity for community connection, while supporting them in their soccer journeys.
Our teams compete in the NorCal Premier Soccer league, at levels ranging from bronze to NPL (National Premier League).
We have seen several players from our club make meaningful contributions to their high school teams, and we have facilitated the participation and success of our players in NorCal PDP (the player development program that identifies, coaches, and showcases exceptionally talented, motivated players) and MLS Next programs. We also count Corte Madera FC alumni on college teams and at the San Jose Earthquakes Academy!

CORTE MADERA FC U8–U12
For the U8–U12 age group, we design practices to be engaging. We want our kids to learn through play!
As we teach fundamental skills, we give young players enough time and space to assess situations, consider their options, and execute the chosen solution/skills. This allows players to focus on developing those fundamental skills — ball control, passing, and shooting — without the intense pressure of a fast-paced, crowded environment.
In competition, teams play age-appropriate, small-sided games to maximize players’ time on the ball and involvement in the game. We create a positive team culture that celebrates hard work and success, and views mistakes as opportunities to learn and build resilience.
All of this is part of a proven methodology and curriculum our coaching leadership designed based on their understanding of the different stages of children’s physical and cognitive development. This approach enables the transfer of knowledge from the training pitch to the game. Our coaches are teaching players how to read the game, allowing them to stay calm under pressure as they use the skills they have learned.
UNITED U13–U19
For ages U13 and older, we offer the United program. United is a collaboration of three clubs — Corte Madera FC, Mill Valley SC, and Tiburon Peninsula SC — that has been operating since the fall 2022 season.
We formed the United program to continue to provide a quality competitive soccer experience for local players when they play 11v11 and have bigger team rosters. Players of the same age and gender stay together in cohorts hosted by a United club.
United also offers multi-sport athletes the flexibility of playing soccer at a challenging competitive level while continuing to play other sports in the off season. Winter and spring soccer programming is available to interested players as well.
As players develop at different rates, the United program supports players who show exceptional levels of ability and commitment by providing them opportunities to help them advance to a higher level of play. These opportunities may include additional team training with a higher-level or older United team; NorCal PDP; or, through a partnership with Napa United, supplemental training during the fall and/or spring seasons with MLS Next and Girls Academy teams.
